Cafeteria Chronicles: Bnos Yisroel of Baltimore (Baltimore, MD)

Thanks to Healthy Meals Incentives (HMI) grant funding, Bnos Yisroel of Baltimore in Baltimore, MD was able to implement their “Healthy Girls, Happy Hearts” nutrition program to improve the quality of their school meals and health of their students. Now the district offers nutrition education, garden to cafeteria programming, an extensive salad bar and scratch-made meals at least once per week.
